The impact of the covid pandemic 19 has influenced all dimensions of activity throughout the country, even in other parts of the world. It is unimaginable that the activities of the BPS, which are usually conducted face-to-face, have to adjust to the conditions that are currently in a health crisis. It is not possible to gather people in one room to receive training materials. BPS Lampung Tengah Regency quickly adopted E-learning learning media to deliver training materials without face to face, namely by learning via zoom meetings. Although it is recognized that there are limitations in signal quality and effectiveness of participants in understanding the material, e-learning innovation is the best solution that can be done in the midst of a pandemic to continue to do and be useful to collect strategic data needed by the government in photographing conditions of village development and evaluating how the developments occurred in the village this year. So updating the Podes 2020 data is important to carry out because the data is eagerly awaited by many parties, especially the government.
Village Potential Updating Training (PODES) in 2020 was held on Friday June 12, 2020 via a zoom meeting attended by 47 participants both field officers, supervisors and Inda, in addition to that zoom meeting training was also attended by the Head of Social Statistics BPS Lampung Mas' ud Rifai who also officially opened the training program. In addition, Masud Rifai said that the Village Potential Data is the only regional / spatial data owned by BPS. Various data and information collected including the availability of infrastructure (education, health, economy, and social), the situation of community security, social and economic activities to disaster data including the data of citizens confirmed because the corona virus was also asked.
Podes data collection results can be used for various purposes by various parties who need regional-based data sources. among other things, as material for regional analysis related to economic potential, social, and regional facilities / infrastructure, evaluation of programs that have been made by ministries / institutions related to village funds disbursed, including the preparation of regional-based policies / strategies.
Field data collection will be carried out through face-to-face interviews or by telephone / mobile phone which will start from 15 June to 17 July 2020 for 301 Kampung, 10 Kelurahan and 3 UPT in the Lampung Tengah Regency administration area. Where officers who conduct interviews face to face are equipped with personal protective equipment, such as masks, goggles and hand sanitiziers, taking into account the health protocols specified during the field.
In addition, updating the PODES 2020 received full support from regional leaders, namely the Regent of Lampung Tengah , Loekman Djoyosoemarto appealed to the village head and his officials to help the updating PODES assessors in 2020 in providing valid and factual answers and to prepare the data needed both data has been recorded or not, his instructions.
