BPS Lampung Tengah will carry out the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas). The survey, which will be implemented in March 2021, will capture the socio-economic conditions of the community.
The activity began with providing training to officers both as field enumerators and supervisors, and was divided into 2 batches, 1st batch from February 22-24, and 2nd batch from 25-27 February 2021 also attended by the national instructor Bpk. Yasir Wijaya, S.Si., M.Si.
Cheaf BPS M. Sholihin, SE, M.M, who officially opened this training, stated that Susenas is the only survey conducted to measure the condition of people's welfare. "Including calculating the poverty of the community at the district level. In addition, Susenas data will be used for planning, monitoring, evaluation, and measuring development accountability by the government, "he said.
Sholihin continued, Susenas data is very important. Field officers who will later work in the field play an important role in producing quality Susenas data. "Susenas is important because it is a source of socio-economic data that is used for many purposes. Planning and evaluation of national development programs through ministerial / institutional policies relies on information from the Susenas results. There are three of the four national development targets, namely poverty, Gini ratio, and the Human Development Index (HDI) using Susenas data, "he said.
In order to fulfill the evaluation of the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB) indicators, RPJMN / D indicators, and Nawacita, said Sholihin, it is also supported by Susenas results data. "Regarding the provision of TPB indicators, as many as 55 of the 136 Indonesian TPB indicators produced by BPS come from Susenas. There are many more uses of Susenas data in which BPS is involved in the team. Among others, the preparation of the Youth Development Index, the Cultural Development Index, the Compilation of the SDGs Voluntary National Report, the Mental Revolution Achievement Index, the Child Protection Index, the Child Rights Protection Index, and the Child Special Protection Index, ".
The implementation of the Susenas 2021, is somewhat different from the previous year's Susenas. "In a new adaptation in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, BPS has adjusted the conditions of the health protocol. Officer training, which is usually done face-to-face, is now being carried out using the online method via zoom meetings. In addition, prior to training, officers were ensured to be clean and clear from Covid-19 by conducting a rapid test first. In the field, they will be equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks and handsanitezers.
After the training, officers will continue with household listings and complete enumeration by visiting selected respondents using a questionnaire which will be held on March 1-31, 2021. There will be 66 officers who will be spread across 28 districts.
