Abstract

In September 2018, the number of poor people (people with per capita expenditure per month below the Poverty Line) in Lampung reached 1,091.60 thousand people (13.01 percent), a decrease of 5.45 thousand people compared to March 2018 which was 1,097. 05 thousand people (13.14 percent).

The percentage of poor people in urban areas in March 2018 was 9.27 percent, down to 9.06 percent in September 2018. Meanwhile, the percentage of poor people in rural areas in March 2018 was 14.76 percent, down to 14.73 percent in September 2018.

The role of food commodities on the Poverty Line is much greater than the role of non-food commodities (housing, clothing, education and health). The food poverty line contribution to the poverty line in September 2018 was recorded at 74.88 percent. This condition is the same as the condition in March 2018
