Employment information is very important for policy makers in a country
countries, in determining policies that will influence planning,
implementation, as well as evaluation of the country's development and economy. Information
employment is seen based on various indicators such as unemployment,
labor force participation, to employment opportunities. Employment information contains about
state of the labor market. The number of workers changes every year, along with
changing demographics and availability of job demand.
Employment information can also make things easier for employers
form suitable employment opportunities, help job seekers to obtain
work that suits its characteristics, as well as increasing labor productivity

Employment data is one of the data collected by the Central Agency
Statistics (BPS). Employment data collection by BPS is carried out through various means
census and survey activities. Census and survey activities that produce data
employment, including the Population Census (SP), Inter-Census Population Survey
(SUPAS), National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and National Labor Force Survey
(Sakernas).
The National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) is a special survey for
collect employment data. Sakernas is held semi-annually, namely
Semester I is in February for provincial level estimates and Semester II is in February
August for district/city level estimates. In compiling statistical publications
