As is known, the Village Potential (Podes) is a data collection on the availability of infrastructure and the potential of each administrative area at the village / sub-district, sub-district, and district / city level throughout Indonesia.
The Podes data collection precedes the Census activities carried out by BPS.
Podes data collection in 2021, which is 2 years before the 2023 Agricultural Census.
This Podes data collection activity is used as a data source on an area basis covering all the smallest administrative areas at the village, sub-district, and district / city level.
It is used by many parties for development planning such as Bappenas (Village Index to track village developments) or the Ministry of Finance (Geographical Difficulty Index / IKG as one of the allocators for village funds).
As a provider of socio-economic potential data, regional facilities and infrastructure in villages / wards, sub-districts and regencies / cities and many more uses.
